Due to Red Sea crisis: Goods imported into Jordan drop by about 10,000 containers per month

Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Youssef Shamali, revealed that the number of shipping containers coming into Jordan per month decreased by more than 10,000 containers due to the Red Sea crises.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Shamali said that the average monthly arrival of goods into Jordan before the crisis was more than 38 thousand containers, but last January more than 22 thousand shipping containers loaded with goods arrived in Jordan, and last February the number rose for more than 24 thousand containers.

Shamali also expected that the number of shipping containers arriving into the Kingdom would increase during March.
