25-02-2024 09:35 AM

Ammon News - As the Israeli onslaught on Gaza reaches its 142nd consecutive day, dozens of Palestinian civilians, including children and women, were reported killed or injured by Israeli airstrikes or gunfire over the last few hours.

Several Palestinian civilians were killed as a result of renewed Israeli artillery shelling in the western areas of Khan Yunis, south of the enclave, as well as in the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.

In Gaza City, a Palestinian was confirmed killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential home in the Shaaf area east of the city. Simultaneously, Israeli drones fired shots on the eastern neighborhoods of the city, coinciding with artillery shelling on the area.

Explosions were also heard and reported heavily in the Zaytoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, as Israeli tanks resumed their ground offensive over the last few days in the neighborhood after several weeks of partial withdrawal from the area.

Meanwhile, in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, local sources confirmed the retrieval of a martyr following the Israeli shelling of a house in the town, with several individuals still missing under the rubble.

Yesterday evening, two Palestinians were killed and four others injured in an Israeli shelling of the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.

The Ministry of Health stated yesterday that eight massacres were committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza during the previous 24 hours, resulting in 92 fatalities and 123 injuries among the Palestinian civilian population.

In a preliminary tally, at least 29,606 Palestinians have been killed and 69,737 others injured, predominantly women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7th of last year. WAFA
