Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Rakan Qadah - Two people where killed and three others injured on Wednesday as a result of a traffic accident between a compact car and a truck in Bani Hashim district in Zarqa, Civil Defense Department (CDD) sources reported.

CDD confirmed that rescue cadres provided first aid treatment to the injured at the accident site before transporting them to the state-run Zarqa hospital, and are in moderate conditions.

The bodies of the victims were also transported to the same hospital.

In a separate incident, a fire engulfed a food-processing factory in Zarqa when one of the machines caught on fire.

CDD sources said that fire rescue cadres put out the fire and there were no reports of injuries.

CDD sources told 'Ammon News' that CDD and concerned authorities have launched an investigation to look into the cause of the fire.
