Jordan, Iraq sign electrical interconnection agreement

Ammon News - Jordan signed on Sunday an electrical interconnection agreement with Iraq, which Jordan will supply Iraq in the first phase with approximately 40 megawatts.

The Director General of the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), Amjad Rawashdeh, announced that all technical matters at the Al-Risha station are ready.

The second phase will be completed during the current year 2024, the third quarter of the year, as it will increase the amount of electricity that will reach Iraq to 150 megawatts, Rawashdeh added.
