Ammon News - Finance Minister Mohammad Issis, issued Financial Order No. (2) for February 2024 to ministries and government departments.
This came due to the delay in approving the draft general budget law for the year 2024 until after the beginning of the fiscal year.
Based on the text of Article (113) of the Constitution, spending will be made from the budget allocations through monthly financial orders at a rate of (1/12) of the allocations for the fiscal year 2023 to cover current expenditures and obligations resulting from capital expenditures until the issuance of the General Budget Law for the year 2024.
The Minister requested to be provided with financial transfers for current expenditure items for February, and financial transfers for capital expenditure items that entail payable obligations.
The Finance Minister also issued Financial Order No. (2) for February 2024 for government units to cover current expenses and obligations resulting from capital expenditures until the general budget law for the fiscal year 2024 is approved.
