Energy Ministry: Fuel prices see increase, kerosene prices drop

Ammon News - The prices of both types of gasoline and diesel rose, and the price of kerosene decreased in global markets, in the third week of January, compared to their rates in the second week of the January.

According to data released by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Monday, 90-octane gasoline recorded a price of $762.6 per ton in the third week of January, compared to $741.4 its average price in the second week, an increase of 2.9%.

The price of 95-octane gasoline reached $811.6 per ton, compared to $783.4 recorded in the second week, an increase of 3.6%.

The price of diesel rose from $717.1 per ton to $724.3 per ton, an increase of 1%, and the price of kerosene decreased from $777.6 to $773 per ton, a decrease of 0.6%.

The price of fuel oil also decreased from $428.8 to $424.1 per ton, a decrease of 1.1%, while the price of liquefied petroleum gas rose from $617.5 per ton last December to $627.5 per ton this January, a decrease of 1.6%.

On the other hand, the average price of Brent crude oil rose in the third week of January to $80.2 per barrel, compared to $78.8 its average price in the second week, an increase of 1.7%.
