Ammon News - The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Monday that since October 7, at least 23,968 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and 60,582 have been injured, most of them women and children.
The OCHA added that there are more than 7,000 civilians still under the rubble.
In the occupied West Bank, the number of killed people rose to 339, including 88 children, while the number of those injured, with various injuries, reached 4,197, including 635 children.
The number of displaced people in the Strip reached 1.9 million, with a total of 1.78 million displaced persons receiving assistance from UNRWA, the office noted.
Nearly 1.4 million displaced people live in 154 UNRWA facilities in all five governorates, including 160,000 displaced people in the north and Gaza City, where facilities far exceed their capacity.
In Rafah Governorate, which is the main haven for displaced people, more than a million people live in a very crowded place, following the intensification of hostilities in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah and the evacuation orders issued by the Israeli occupation army.
