Ammon News - The Washington Post quoted U.S. officials as saying that Israel has made clear in discussions that its high-intensity military campaign in Gaza will continue throughout January.

U.S. officials speaking on the condition of anonymity added that Israel will continue this war and the intense campaign despite pressure from the Biden administration for restraint as civilian casualties soar.

The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that Israeli authorities are increasingly restricting access for aid missions, with just 24 percent of planned food, medicine and water deliveries successfully reaching northern Gaza so far this year.

This comes as the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip enters its 101st day, amid continuous bombing of most civilian areas and targeting tents for the displaced.

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 23,968 martyrs and 60,582 injuries since October 7, 2023, according to the latest official statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
