Jordan's tourism loses JD200mln per month after Gaza War

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Makram Qaisi, said that the Jordanian economy’s monthly losses in the tourism sector JD200 million due to the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Qaisi added, during a press conference titled “Tourism in Crises... Reality and Challenges,” that two hotels were closed due to the crisis, while 25 hotels were licensed.

12 tourist offices were closed and 73 offices were opened in return, in addition to the closure of 21 restaurants and 96 new restaurants were opened, he noted.
