Ammon News - Government media office in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation army destroyed more than 61% of the homes and residential units in the Gaza Strip.
“The occupation destroyed more than 305,000 housing units as part of a comprehensive genocidal war against our Palestinian people,” the office added in a statement.
The office also warned countries around the world and international organizations of a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, in light of the increasing number of destroyed homes and residential units.
It explained that "since the beginning of its war on Gaza, Israeli aircraft dropped more than 52,000 tons of explosives on citizens' homes, hospitals, schools, and civilian institutions."
More than one and a half million displaced people inside the Gaza Strip are living in catastrophic and harsh conditions, in light of the poor living and shelter conditions and the spread of diseases and epidemics coinciding with the onset of winter and extreme cold, the office stated.
The statement stressed that legalizing the entry of aid into Gaza and depriving civilians of food, treatment, and basic life necessities is tantamount to a death sentence for 2.4 million people in the Strip.
