Ammon News - Diaa Rashwan, head of the State Information Service in Egypt, said that Egypt believed Israel's operations in the Israeli-occupied West Bank aimed to force Palestinians towards Jordan, according to Reuters.

Rashwan also added that Egypt would never allow the emptying of the Gaza Strip of its residents as Israel's military campaign pushes them southwards towards the border with Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

Egypt is striving to accelerate the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip, after the amount of relief getting through to the Palestinian enclave dipped with the end of the Israel-Hamas truce on Dec. 1, he stated.
