Customs Department thwarts attempt to smuggle hashish, marijuana

Ammon News - Jordan Customs Department thwarted an attempt to smuggle approximately (15,300) kilograms of narcotic hashish, in addition to (4,750) kilograms of green marijuana in multiple secret caches, in cooperation and coordination with the Anti Narcotics Department (AND) and the security services.

In the details, customs officials suspected a vehicle carrying two people, and it was subjected to an x-ray examination device, and during the careful inspection, the seized items were found tightly hidden in an elaborate technical manner inside the body of the vehicle, which had been prepared specifically for this purpose, according to the spokesman of the Jordan Customs Department.

In turn, the Director General of the Customs Department, Jalal Qudah, stressed the diligent diligence of customs employees and their continued work day and night to preserve the capabilities and achievements of this country, to stand up and confront everything that threatens economic and social security.
