Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, will chair Monday the work of the 8th Regional Forum of Foreign Ministers of the Union for Mediterranean (UfM) countries, in Spain.

Safadi and Borrell agreed to devote the forum to discussing one item, which is the ceasefire and the dangerous deterioration and humanitarian catastrophe caused by the war on Gaza.

"In Barcelona for the UfM ministerial. Discussed with co-chair Jordan FM Ayman safadi tomorrow’s agenda. The meeting will address the Middle East crisis and aim at setting out a common approach to protect civilians and achieve a lasting peace," Borrell wrote on X.
