Ammon News - The death toll of the Israeli military aggression on the city and refugee camp of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank, has climbed to five since last night, according to the Ministry of Health, with two more Palestinians announced dead from Israeli gunfire and aerial bombardment.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli military drone targeted a house in the Damaj neighborhood within the Jenin refugee camp, using at least one missile. This led to the murder of Asaad Ali Damaj, a 33-year-old man, and left five others injured, including three women. Furthermore, Israeli drones targeted the public service center in the camp.

Witnesses further stated that Israeli infantry troops stopped an ambulance transporting the wounded from the refugee camp and arrested two wounded individuals who were onboard.

The incursion involved a large-scale Israeli military presence accompanied by military bulldozers. The occupation forces stormed Jenin from multiple directions, firing live rounds as they besieged the city.

During the raid, the occupation army besieged the Jenin Public Hospital, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) local branch, and the Ibn Sina Hospital. The occupation forces also deployed snipers on the rooftops of some buildings, and bulldozed several streets in the city and the vicinity of the refugee camp.

The Israeli aggression ended up in the morning with five casualties, including a child, and many injuries from live ammunition. The four other victims were identified as Mahmoud Khalid Abu al-Heja, 17, Ammar Muhammad Abu al-Wafa, 21, Ahmad Abu al-Heja, 20, Muhammad Mahmoud Freihat, 27.

In response to the tragic events, national factions in the Jenin Governorate have declared a general strike on Sunday as a mark of mourning for the martyrs of Jenin and its refugee camp.
