Ammon News - The city of Aqaba received more than 1.9 million visitors since the beginning of 2023, compared to 1.55 million visitors in 2022.
During a meeting with the Parliamentary Tourism, Antiquities, and Public Services Committee, the Deputy Chief Commissioner and Commissioner for Economy at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Hamza Hajj, reported that there has been an 11% rise in the number of visitors staying in Aqaba hotels this year as compared to 2019.
Hotel occupancy rates rose to 62.4% in 2023, he stated.
