Migrant worker dies after drowning in King Abdullah Canal

Ammon News - A migrant worker died Sunday, after drowning in the King Abdullah Canal in the Northern Jordan Valley.

The Director of The Director of Abu Ubaida Al-Jarrah Hospital, Dr. Muayyad Al-Shakour, said that the 30-year-old worker was treated by civil defense personnel after being pulled from the waters of the canal and taken to the ambulance and emergency department, but he died before arriving at the hospital.

The death was evacuated to the Northern Region Forensic Medicine Center to determine the cause of death, he added.
