SSC trial for MP Emad Adwan starts on Wednesday

Ammon News - The State Security Court (SSC) will hold the trial for MP Emad Adwan and 13 co-defendants, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
The Public Prosecutor had previously referred the case to the court and charged the accused with four charges: exporting firearms with the intention of using them illegally in association, in violation of the provisions of Articles 3, and 7/c of the Terrorism Prevention Law No. 55 of 2006 and its amendments, and in accordance with Article 7/ The same law is repeated 4 times.
The Prosecutor General has made allegations against the defendants, including charges related to the unlawful sale of firearms for unauthorized purposes, the attempted export of firearms for illegal use, and engaging in actions that could disturb public order and pose a threat to security.
The House of Representatives last May took a decision to lift MP Adwan’s immunity after a request from the SSC prosecutor.
