CBJ issues first issuance of Treasury bonds worth $235mln in US dollar

Ammon News - The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), on behalf of the government, issued Tuesday the first issuance of Jordanian Treasury bonds in US dollars for the current year, with a value of $235 million.
According to the issuance, the bonds will mature on July 21, 2025, with the highest acceptable interest rate of 7,000% annually, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The CBJ has the right to accept all submitted applications, as the offering was carried out according to the multiple price auction method and with a settlement date of September 21, 2023, the release stated.
The CBJ on behalf of the government, issued Tuesday issuance No. (5) of 2023 of Jordanian treasury bills (in US dollars) at auction at a price of $75 million.
The bank may accept all submitted applications, as the minimum selling price is 93.881, while the highest return rate that can be accepted is (6.5%).
