Netanyahu orders to send huge forces to Tel Aviv to restore order

Ammon News - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directed to send huge forces to restore order in Tel Aviv, after the riots and vandalism that took place, Saturday, during which about 140 people were injured.

"Netanyahu received an update from the Minister of National Security and the Police Commissioner regarding the disturbances, and ordered the necessary measures to be taken to restore public order," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

Tel Aviv Municipality for its part called the residents to remain in their homes until the demonstrations end.

Violent confrontations broke out, Saturday, between Israeli occupation police forces and hundreds of Eritrean asylum-seekers in Tel Aviv.

The demonstration took place in protest against a festival organized by the Eritrean embassy on Yad Harutz Street in the city, and that the demonstrators were asylum seekers opposed to the regime in Eritrea, hebrew media reported.
