Ammon News - Jordan is poised to experience a range of weather conditions beginning this week, offering a glimpse of the meteorological diversity that will unfold across the country in the coming days.

Starting with Sunday, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) indicated moderately warm summer weather prevailing across the majority of the country's regions. While these conditions will be the norm in most areas, temperatures are anticipated to rise noticeably in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Additionally, the northern parts of the kingdom are expected to witness intermittent appearances of low-lying clouds, while the prevalent wind pattern originating from the northwest is projected to maintain a moderate pace, with intermittent instances of elevated speed.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to mirror the moderately warm conditions experienced earlier. Likewise, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to register relatively higher temperatures.

During this period, sporadic cloud cover is likely to grace the skies in the northern and central regions, and the northwest wind direction is anticipated to persist, retaining a moderate speed and displaying occasional episodes of increased intensity.

As Wednesday emerges, a shift toward higher temperatures is projected. This transition will mark the beginning of typical warm summer weather across sizeable portions of Jordan. Concurrently, the Badia, Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain subjected to elevated temperatures.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 31 and 29 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 19C or even 17C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 40C and lows of 27C.
