Ammon News - The prevailing weather conditions for the upcoming days will be marked by high temperatures and varying cloud cover, according to a weather forecast released by the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD). As per the report, Sunday is expected to witness generally hot conditions, with some clouds appearing at medium and high altitudes.

The weather department has issued several cautionary advisories to ensure the safety of residents amidst these weather conditions, warning against prolonged direct exposure to the sun during peak hours, as well as leaving children unattended inside closed vehicles.

Additionally, the potential for reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in arid areas has been highlighted, urging caution while driving. The advisory also extends to refraining from leaving sanitizers, perfumes, and flammable materials within vehicles, as well as strongly discouraging any actions that could lead to igniting fires in forested or grassy regions.

Looking ahead, the weather forecast for Monday remains consistent with continued hot weather, accompanied by scattered clouds at medium and high altitudes. The winds are projected to prevail from the northeast to the northwest, occasionally exhibiting increased speed.

Tuesday is expected to bring elevated temperatures, resulting in extremely hot conditions across the region, especially in mountainous and plain areas. The cloud cover is predicted to persist, appearing at medium and high altitudes. Winds will maintain a moderate pace, flowing from the northeast to the northwest, with intermittent stronger bursts.

By Wednesday, the weather is forecast to maintain its scorching nature, with both mountainous regions and plains experiencing high temperatures. Clouds will continue to appear at medium and high altitudes, and wind patterns will follow their familiar course.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 37 and 35 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 21C or even 19C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 41C and lows of 28C.
