Police Arrest 37 Individuals Over Celebratory Gunfire Following Tawjihi Results

Ammon News - In the wake of Wednesday's Tawjihi high school diploma results announcement, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) has confirmed the arrest of 37 individuals for allegedly discharging firearms in celebration. Furthermore, a total of 38 weapons have been confiscated in the operation.
The PSD's press release emphasized their unyielding commitment to surveilling and detaining those responsible for firing live rounds, and enforcing strict punitive measures on vehicles found to be in breach of celebratory guidelines.
In a detailed breakdown of traffic-related infringements during the said celebrations, the traffic police recorded 3,214 violations. A staggering 1,047 of these violations were for forming processions, causing significant obstructions to regular traffic flow.
In addition, 88 instances were cited for reckless driving, with an additional 2,079 violations encompassing other celebration-related offenses.
The Directorate was unequivocal in its message, asserting there will be no leniency granted to those discharging firearms or to any motorists in violation. The PSD's rigorous enforcement protocols are set to persist in the ensuing days.
They further conveyed their ongoing diligence in addressing incoming reports and information related to these incidents.
