Ammon News - World Food Programme (WFP) Representative in Jordan, Alberto Correia Mendes, warned that the WFP will run out of resources needed to feed refugees in Jordan next October.

"If we don't get any other support, we will never have resources in the month of October, which means that all beneficiaries inside and outside the camps will not get any assistance," Mendes said in an interview with Al-Mamlaka TV.

He stated that the Programme helps about 465,000 refugees in Jordan, most of whom are Syrians.

The cost of food aid to refugees amounts to about $200 million annually, expressing his hope that donors will provide more support in the coming weeks, Mendes noted.
