In its daily update, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) issued a caution regarding the diminished horizontal visibility during the early hours of the morning, predominantly attributed to the formation of fog over elevated mountain zones.

Moreover, vigilance is recommended, as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours could pose risks. Notably, special attention is directed toward safeguarding the well-being of children and elderly individuals by refraining from leaving them unattended within enclosed vehicles. Furthermore, the department underscored the potential for restricted visibility due to dust accumulation in the Badia.

On Friday, an expectation of a minor elevation in temperatures is forecast. The existing sweltering conditions are anticipated to persist over mountainous regions and flat expanses. Meanwhile, the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba areas are likely to encounter scorching temperatures. Cloud formations at medium and high altitudes are envisaged, while the wind is poised to intermittently shift direction from northeast to northwest, all while maintaining moderate velocities.

Both Saturday and Sunday are slated to retain the trend of hot weather across mountainous and plains areas, with the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba regions contending with particularly intense heat.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 37 and 35 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 24C or even 22C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 42C and lows of 30C.
