Jordan, Egypt foreign ministers talk cooperation in Cairo

Ammon News - Jordan and Egypt's foreign ministers held talks Tuesday in Cairo on coordinated positions towards regional developments.

In a meeting before a follow-up meeting of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Iraq in Cairo, the top diplomats lauded the outputs of the joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee meetings, which Amman hosted its thirty-first session last week.

On Egyptian, Jordanian and Iraqi cooperation, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, discussed preparations for holding the next tripartite summit in Egypt and the projects agreed to be implemented in the context of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Iraq.

Safadi and Shoukry discussed coordination to resolve the Syrian crisis through the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee on Syria, whose meetings Egypt is hosting with the participation of the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria and the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
