FM holds meeting with Iraqi, Egyptian counterparts

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Foad Hussein and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination.

The ministers stressed the importance of completing the steps and projects that were agreed upon in the context of the tripartite cooperation mechanism to serve common interests, in addition to the tripartite cooperation mechanism that was launched to build on the history and common interests of the three countries with the aim of deepening cooperation in many vital sectors to achieve economic integration.

The ministers agreed to assign senior officials to hold an immediate meeting to follow up on the steps to implement projects and previous decisions to enhance cooperation.

The ministers will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, to prepare for the next summit to be hosted by Egypt within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism.
