Relatively hot weather in most regions until Thursday

Ammon News - As summer settles in, most regions of the Kingdom are anticipated to experience moderately hot temperatures. However, the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see particularly hot conditions, the Jordanian Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily report.

Additionally, the weather forecast agency issued a cautionary advisory regarding the risk of direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Residents and visitors in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions to combat the heat.

Wednesday and Thursday will bring similar weather conditions, with moderate northwesterly winds, the JMD noted.

Toward Friday, a slight uptick in temperatures will be observed, resulting in scorching weather in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, while other regions will continue to face relatively hot conditions.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 28 and 34 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 19C or even 16C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 42C and lows of 29C.
