Aqaba records increase in number of visitors by 95%

Ammon News - Number of tourists coming to and through Aqaba increased by more than 95% in the first six months of this year, compared to the first half of last year, to reach approximately one million and 500,000 tourists, compared to 777,000 in the same period last year.

The number of tourists coming to Aqaba and occupied hotels there, during the first half of this year, reached about 543,000 tourists, compared to nearly 400,000 tourists in the first six months of last year, an increase of approximately 36%.

Visitors to Wadi Rum grew by about 43% during this period, bringing it in the first six months of this year to about 397,000 tourists, compared to 118,000 tourists in the first half of last year.
