Egyptian PM arrives in Amman

Ammon News - Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly arrived Sunday evening in Amman a head of a ministerial delegation to chair his country's delegation to the meetings of the 31st session of the joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee, which will convene on Monday, and will be chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on the Jordanian side.

Upon his arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, the Egyptian Prime Minister was received by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Minister of Labor Youssef Shamali, Governor of Amman, Yasser Adwan, and a number of officials.

The Egyptian Prime Minister is accompanied by ministers of: Electricity and Renewable Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Health and Population, Planning and Economic Development, International Cooperation, Transport, Trade and Industry, Labor and a number of officials.

The committee will discuss a number of issues aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially economic spheres, maximizing the use of available opportunities and increasing coordination on issues of common concern.

Today, the Preparatory Committee for the Higher Committee held a meeting chaired by Shamali and Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, in which they discussed the agenda of the Higher Committee meetings and reviewed findings of the Technical Committee and the consensuses reached to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The technical committee held its meetings over two days, in which representatives of all relevant ministries and institutions from both sides participated.

The joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee is constantly convened, which reflects the joint keenness to develop various fields of mutual cooperation, as well as cooperation within the trilateral framework, which also includes Iraq, and the quadruple partnership that includes, in addition to Jordan and Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain.
