Strategies explored to bolster investments in Golden Triangle region

Ammon News - CEO of the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF), Ezzeddin Kanakrieh on Sunday held a fruitful meeting with the President of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Nayef Fayez, to explore avenues for strengthening investments in Aqaba and the wider Golden Triangle region.

During the meeting, both parties delved into the current plans and initiatives aimed at maximizing SSIF's contributions to the region's economic prosperity. Additionally, they explored the vast potential for capitalizing on investment opportunities in the burgeoning city of Aqaba.

The meeting also witnessed insightful discussions on the potential for developing prime lands owned by the Social Security Fund in Aqaba. These strategic locations hold promise for enriching and diversifying the tourism offerings in the region, and both parties explored the possibilities of establishing new tourism, entertainment, and commercial ventures that cater to the discerning needs of tourists.

As part of the visit to Aqaba, Kanakrieh conducted site inspections of several pivotal projects that the SSIF has vested interests in, including the InterContinental Hotel/Aqaba and the adjoining Aqaba Tourist Beach project. He also visited the Aqaba Gateway commercial complex, and the Fountain commercial complex, under the auspices of the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group. Further, he made a stop at the Talabay Resort, a flagship property owned by the Jordan Projects for Tourism Development (JPTD).

Impressed by the dedication to excellence, Kanakrieh was briefed on the strategic plans devised by the respective companies to enhance financial performance and maintain a superior standard of service delivery for tourists visiting the region.

The SSIF, under the ambit of The National Company for Tourism Development (NTD), oversees a diverse portfolio of tourism investments.

In conclusion, the meeting served as a proactive endeavor to fortify economic prospects in the region, intending to uplift Aqaba's position as a thriving economic hub within the Golden Triangle.
