Ammon News - German Chief of Defense Staff, General Carsten Breuer, Sunday awarded Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF), Major General Yousef Huneiti, the Golden Medal of Honor, in recognition of his role in cementing military cooperation between the two countries, especially support by JAF to German forces in the military evacuations from Sudan after the outbreak of the civil war in the African Arab country.

Breuer stressed the deep and strategic partnership and cooperation between the Jordanian and German armed forces, stressing the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and joint military coordination.

The Golden Medal, the highest military honor of the German army, was awarded during a ceremony attended by the German Charge d'Affaires, the German Defense Attache and senior JAF officers.
