Ammon News - A delegation from the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (ACI) discussed, during separate meetings with many official institutions and private sector actors in Azerbaijan, ways to activate and develop the economic relations between the two countries.

Head of the delegation Bahgat Hamdan and head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency Yusif Abdullayev discussed joint cooperation and coordination between the chambers of commerce and companies in the two countries to exchange information about the investment and commercial opportunities available to them.

Hamdan indicated in a statement on Thursday that the delegation requested a list of the most important sectors and investment opportunities available in Azerbaijan to be circulated to Jordanian companies, in addition to preparing presentations on investment and developing bilateral relations and handing them out to stakeholders on both sides.

Hamdan pointed out that the delegation discussed, during a meeting at the State Agency for Tourism in Azerbaijan, the most prominent challenges that hinder tourism between the two countries, especially the travel visas imposed on Jordanian tourists to enter Azerbaijan, and the lack of a direct flight linking the two countries, calling for removing these obstacles.

He indicated that the delegation also met with the President of the Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Niyaz Ali-zade and discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation. A memorandum of understanding was signed to exchange information on the economic opportunities available to the two countries to raise the level of trade exchange between them and promote investment projects.
