ACC-registered exports at JD679mln in H1 of 2023

Ammon News - The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in the first half of 2023 to export goods and commodities increased by 60.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

The ACC issued 16,222 certificates of origin (up 8.9 percent from 14,894 in H1 of 2022) in the 2023 January-June period valued at JD679 million against JD424 million for the same period of 2022, according to ACC figures.

Most of the certificates of origin issued by the Chamber went to a host of countries, chief of which are Saudi Arabia with 3,383 certificates, the United Arab Emirates with 2,079, Iraq with 953, Egypt with 448, and Switzerland with 11 certificates.

Exports were distributed as JD246 million to Iraq, JD131 million to the UAE, JD73 million to Switzerland, JD45 million to Egypt, and JD41 million to Saudi Arabia.

In addition, re-exports of foreign products totaled approximately JD269 million. Agricultural product exports generated JD73 million, while industrial and Arab products brought in 69 million dinars each. The remaining earnings were from other products.
