Pilot who dies in helicopter crash laid to rest with military honors

Ammon News - Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF), Chief of the Royal Court Yousef Issawi Tuesday joined mourners as pilot Major Ali Al-Harasis of the Royal Air Force was laid to rest.
Al-Harasis died and another pilot was injured yesterday in the crash of a Cobra military helicopter as it tried to make an emergency landing near Baqaa in Balqa Governorate.
A military funeral took place for the pilot led by the Deputy Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Royal Air Force Commander, where the coffin of the martyr, draped in the national flag, was carried on the shoulders of his comrades-in-arms to his final resting place at Sahab Islamic Cemetery after funeral prayers in a mosque in Amman.
The Royal Court Chief laid a wreath at the martyr's tomb after the burial, which was also attended by senior military and security officers, retired servicemen and civilian officials, as well as a large crowd of people.
The JAF General Command mourned the martyr, prayed for him to rest in peace and extended its deep condolences to his family and comrades-in-arms.
