Senators partake in Geneva's Int'l labor conference

Ammon News - A senate delegation is currently participating in the 111th session of the International Labor Conference, organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva, from June 5 to 16.

The delegation comprises heads of the senate's committees on labor and social development, and public services, Issa Haidar Murad and Mostafa Hamarneh, respectively.

Murad indicated that the conference, which brings to gather worker, employer and government delegates from the ILO's 187 member states, tackles a wide range of issues, including the ILO's reports on advancing social justice, and the situation of workers of the occupied Arab territories.

Additionally, it focuses on ways to achieve a just transition towards sustainable and inclusive economies, quality apprenticeships, and labour protection, the official indicated.
