Aqaba Governor Khaled Hajjaj told Amen FM on Monday that a missing person was reported after ten o'clock Sunday evening with his vehicle situated inside one of the ongoing floods in the Shamiya area, where the vehicle was swept away, but the driver was not inside. Hajjaj explained that the security and civil defense teams continued to search for that person until the hours of Monday morning, where he was found dead due to drowning.

Ammon News - One was found dead on Monday morning after his vehicle swept away by floodwaters in Aqaba on Sunday, authorities said.

Aqaba Governor Khaled Hajjaj told Amen FM on Monday that a missing person was reported after ten o'clock Sunday evening with his vehicle situated inside one of the ongoing floods in the Shamiya area, where the vehicle was swept away, but the driver was not inside.

Hajjaj explained that the security and civil defense teams continued to search for that person until the hours of Monday morning, where he was found dead due to drowning.
