Unstable, dusty weather forecast until Monday

Ammon News - The Kingdom will be affected by a state of atmospheric instability on Saturday, as a significant rise in temperatures is forecast and dusty weather prevails and relatively hot conditions are expected almost countrywide.

Local and scattered rain showers will hit different areas for a limited period, which could be often accompanied by thunder, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily update.

In its report, the JMD warns of the risk of low horizontal visibility due to dust in several areas, as well as gusts and slippery roads that experience rainfall.

On Sunday, the effect of atmospheric instability deepens , and temperatures drop. Weather is generally dusty and moderate in mountainous areas and plains, and relatively hot in the other regions . Scattered showers are forecast in different regions countrywide, especially the Kingdom's southern and southeastern districts, including the city of Aqaba.

Downpour could be heavy often accompanied by thunder and hail that leads to the formation of torrential rains in valleys and low areas. Strong gusts sometimes exceed 70 km / h per hour in some areas, the JMD said.

As for Monday, atmospheric instability intensifies. The weather will remain dusty and moderate in temperature in the mountainous regions and plains, and relatively hot in the other regions.

In addition, scattered showers are forecast in different regions, especially the southern areas, including the city of Aqaba, which could be often heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail that leads to the formation of torrential rains in valleys and low areas. Winds are southwesterly active with speed sometimes exceeding 70 km / h in some areas.

Also today, temperatures in Amman hit 33 degrees Celsius, dropping to 20C during night, while the city of Aqaba will see a scorching 40C, sliding to 27C during night hours.
