Ammon News - HRH Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association (JFA), reaffirmed Jordan's continued support for Palestinian sports and football.
Prince Ali's gave his remarks after receiving a letter of thanks and gratitude from the President of the Palestinian Football Association, Jibril Rajoub, for accepting the invitation to attend the opening ceremony of Pele Stadium in Palestine, last week.
In a letter sent to Rajoub, Prince Ali voiced his support to the participation of Palestinians in all occasions, reflecting Jordan's firm position and support for the just causes of the Palestinian people.
Prince Ali emphasized full commitment to the causes and concerns of Palestinian sports, and the importance of highlighting challenges the Palestinian people face, while practicing sports on their land.
He also voiced keenness on supporting any event or tournament held on the Palestinian territories, as a Jordanian top priority and part of its firm stances.
"The JFA's continuous support to the brothers in Palestine, is a natural part of the historical and well-established Jordanian-Palestinian relationship that has always required us to strengthen our joint endeavors to confront the challenges and difficulties facing athletes in Palestine," Prince Ali said in his letter.
