In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry commended Saudi Arabia and the United States of America's important role and efforts to reach this agreement. The ministry expressed its hope that this step would contribute to facilitating the arrival of relief and humanitarian aid to the affected areas, and that this agreement would pave the way for reaching a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in Sudan, in a way that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people and bring security, stability and prosperity to the country.
