Health minister participates in CAMH meeting

Ammon News - Minister of Health, Firas Hawari, took part in the 59th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health (CAMH), which was held in tandem with the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.

In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said the meeting, which was chaired by Algeria, discussed multiple issues, primarily health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, which is a permanent clause on CAMH's agenda.

The Arab health ministers reviewed steps to launch Arab strategy for a health-friendly budget, steps to organize an Arab-German international conference and exhibition for pharmaceutical industries and medical supplies in Bahrain and pan-Arab humanitarian relief coordination.

The Kingdom's delegation to the meeting is headed by Hawari, in presence of Jordan's permanent representative in Geneva, Walid Obeidat, the statement noted.
