Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Director General of the Islamic Hospital, Dr. Na'el Adwan, submitted his resignation suddenly Sunday afternoon to the Chairman and members of the provisional Administrative Board of the Islamic Charity Center Association and the Hospital's Board chairman.

In his resignation letter, Dr. Adwan said that he hopes the Council and Board would 'reward' him by approving his resignation as Director General of the hospital and as Brain Surgery Advisor effective May 1st, 2010, so that he may take time to rest.

Adwan noted that his resignation request comes as several main projects at the hospital have been completed or near completion, including the hospital's expansion project, hospital digitizing project, and completing requirements for international accreditation of the hospital in Amman.

Al Sabeel newspaper reported that a case file has been submitted to the Accounting Bureau and the Anti-Corruption Commission last week regarding possible financial and administrative mismanagement that had occurred during the current administration of the hospital.
