He added that the festival featured eye-catching light displays in a variety of colors to showcase Petra's beauty, as well as a 1,200-meter-distance sound experience in the 'Siq' and a 3D digital art drawing that was exhibited on the 'Treasury'. He indicated that the authority is working to extend the stay of tourists in Petra and to add more of hotel rooms. The number of tourists visited Petra increased during the first quarter of 2023 by 35%, compared to the same period in 2019, while the number of visitors to the site in March recorded high percent, during which 143,962 visitors entered the site, which 131,116 of them are foreigners.
