Ammon News - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources confirmed that it is awaiting the official Iraqi response regarding the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding, which was recommended by the Energy Ministerial Council at the end of last March.
The ministry's confirmation came Wednesday, within the framework of answering inquiries related to the resumption of the process of importing Iraqi oil, in order to complete the necessary procedures to resume importing Iraqi oil upon signing the MoU.
Jordan imports Iraqi crude oil according to the MoU signed between the Jordanian and Iraqi governments since the beginning of September 2021, as it will allow Jordan to import 10 thousand barrels per day.
