Jordan records JD75 million trade surplus with Qatar

Ammon News - Jordan came out ahead by JD75 million in its trade exchange with Qatar in 2022, according to official data released Monday.

The figures by the Department of Statistics revealed that the Jordan-Qatar trade in the past year amounted to JD149 million against JD116 million in 2021.

The Kingdom's exports to the Arab Gulf nation hit JD112 million in 2022 compared with JD91 million in 2021.

Meanwhile, Qatar's exports to the Kingdom reached JD37 million in the previous year from JD25 million in 2021.

Jordan's main exports to Qatar are foodstuffs, both fresh and processed, while its imports from the Arab Gulf nation include chemicals, plastic and lubricants.
