Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Rakan Qaddah - A 2-year old child died Wednesday after falling into a ground water tank at his father's house in Al Hashemiyyah, Ajloun.
The boy, Muhammad Mostafa Al Hayek, was rescued from the water tank by Ajloun Civil Defense rescue squads and then transferred to Al Eman Hospital.
Sources at the state-run Al Eman Hospital said that the child received first aid rescue resuscitation, but had died after arriving at the hospital in a few hours.
The source said that the body was transferred to the National Forensics Medicine Center for an autopsy to investigate the cause of death.
The ground water tank was covered with a wooden plate, which seems to have been removed causing the 2-year old boy to fall inside.
