Ammon News - Jordan's exports to Brazil in 2022 grew by a whopping 61 percent to reach JD145 million compared to JD90 million in 2021, said Fathi Jaghbir, Head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry.
The significant increase, he indicated, is a testament to the importance of exploring non-traditional markets, especially in South and Central America and Africa.
In a statement Thursday, Jaghbir stated that, on a monthly level, Jordan's exports to Brazil increased during January of the current year amounting to JD10 million, adding that the most prominent Jordanian products that are exported to Brazil include fertilizers, potash, phosphates, sterilization materials, medical supplies, clothing products and foodstuffs.
He pointed to the cooperation between the Chambers of Industry and the Jordan Exports company, in coordination with the Jordanian Embassy in the Brazilian capital, lauding the role of Jordan's ambassador to Brazil, Maan Mosaada, and the embassy staff in that regard.
He stressed the need to activate the role of Jordanian embassies around the world to promote Jordanian industries. An increase in Jordanian exports, he noted, supports the national economy and generates more job opportunities for the local workforce.
