Ammon News - Scores of Jewish extremist settlers on Wednesday stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ al-Haram al-Sharif compound in occupied East Jerusalem.
A statement by the General Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said that the settlers carried out today’s raids through al-Magharebah Gate in groups, under the heavy protection of Israeli police.
"The settlers provocatively toured the Mosque’s yards, listened to explanations about the purported "Temple Mount", and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the compound and off the Dome of the Rock, before they left from Al-Silsila Gate," it added.
Earlier today, the occupation forces broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and forced Muslim worshipers to leave the holy shrine in preparation for the settlers’ incursions.
The so-called Temple groups called for the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in conjunction with the Jewish Passover holiday, which begins today at sunset and lasts through the 12th of the current month.
