Kazakhstan's Parliament votes to reappoint Prime Minister Smailov

Ammon News - The Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan voted on Thursday to reappoint Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov for the same position.

Kazakh news agency (Kazinform) reported that 82 deputies have voted for Smailov, while 8 abstained, and 7 opposed.

It is noteworthy that Smailov held the position of Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2015 to 2018, before his appointment as Prime Minister in January 2022.
