100,000 worshipers perform 1st Friday prayers of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ammon News - Nearly 100,000 worshipers performed the first Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem.

"Thousands of our people from Jerusalem, the 48 lands, and from various governorates of the West Bank, flocked since the early morning hours to perform the first Friday prayers of Ramadan in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation forces," the Palestinian news agency said

This morning, the occupation forces prevented dozens of Palestinians from entering Jerusalem through the Qalandia military checkpoint, to perform the first Friday prayers of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation police also closed intersections of streets and main roads with iron barriers, and deployed about 200 additional personnel in the streets and alleys of the Old City, and impeded the arrival of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and launched a drone in its airspace, while its personnel climbed the roofs of the buildings adjacent to the mosque.
