Ammon News - A total of 937 trucks carrying aid from seven United Nations agencies have crossed into north-west Syria from Turkiye, since the earthquakes, the UN announced late Wednesday.

"We have also completed 34 cross-border missions to north-west Syria -since the first interagency visit to Idlib on 14 February- to meet and hear from people, assess their needs, and coordinate the response," Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary-General Farhan Haq said in a press briefing.

Haq also noted that Griffiths emphasized, during his recent visit to Syria, the need for continued expanded humanitarian access and scale-up aid operations to address the growing needs throughout Syria, where the impact of the 6 February earthquake has exacerbated the already dire humanitarian situation.
